Juggerknot – What is it in Vaping?
Definition
The Juggerknot is a high-performance rebuildable tank atomiser (RTA) designed for flavour-chasing and cloud-chasing vapers. Created by QP Design, it combines the convenience of a tank with the customisability of a dripper. Its signature feature is a Deck“>postless deck that lets users install exotic coils—like fused Claptons—without trimming leads, while a generous Juice Well”>juice well and precision juice channels keep juice flowing smoothly. The Juggerknot’s top airflow system prevents leaks and delivers rich flavour, making it ideal for both beginners upgrading from sub-ohm tanks and advanced builders chasing dense vapour.
Technical Details
At the heart of the Juggerknot RTA is a 28 mm stainless-steel chassis housing a 5 mL juice capacity (expandable to 8 mL with a bulb glass). The postless deck accommodates single or dual coils with 3 mm × 2.5 mm terminal slots, secured by hex grub screws. Air enters via dual 10 mm × 2 mm cyclops slots in the top cap, travels down external chimneys, and hits the coil through 4 mm honeycomb inserts, creating smooth, turbulence-free draw. Variants include the Juggerknot V2 (postless dual-coil, 4.5 mL) and the Juggerknot Mini (25 mm, 2.5 mL single-coil). All versions use 810 drip tips and are compatible with Cotton“>Japanese cotton or synthetic wicking fibres.
Usage & Tips
- Wicking: Trim wicks flush with the deck, then gently tuck into the juice channels—too tight causes dry hits, too loose leads to flooding.
- Coil Placement: Position coils 1–2 mm above the airflow inserts to maximise flavour and minimise spit-back.
- Common Issues:Leaking usually means under-wicking; dry hits indicate over-wicking or insufficient juice flow. Check o-rings and top-seal alignment.
- Safety: Ensure coils are glowed evenly and resistance is verified on a Mod“>regulated mod before filling the tank.
History & Context
QP Design released the original Juggerknot in 2018 amid the “postless deck” trend, aiming to bridge the gap between drippers and RTAs for Australian and global vapers. Iterations have refined airflow and capacity while retaining the leak-resistant design, cementing the Juggerknot as a staple in the advanced-vaping scene.
