Zenith Tank – What is it in Vaping?
Zenith Tank Glossary Entry
Definition
The Zenith Tank is a mouth-to-lung (MTL) vape tank designed by Innokin in collaboration with vaping reviewers Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis. It is a top-fill, replaceable-coil atomiser that turns e-liquid into vapour. Built for flavour-focused vaping rather than huge clouds, it suits people moving away from cigarettes or those who prefer a tight draw similar to smoking. The tank pairs well with Nicotine“>Zero Nicotine or low-strength freebase and nicotine-salt e-liquids, offering consistent performance without complicated menus or rebuildable parts.
Technical Details
Inside the Zenith Tank, a stainless-steel and Zinc Alloy chassis houses a 2 mL (TPD-compliant) or 4 mL glass tube. Juice feeds downward onto a press-fit coil head with four contact points to eliminate Ohm“>Zero Ohm or dry-hit issues. Airflow is adjusted via a precise knurled ring at the base, giving five stepped holes from 1 mm to 2 mm for true MTL or restricted direct-lung draws. Coil options include 0.48 Ω Plexus mesh for 14-19 W, 0.8 Ω Kanthal for 15-18 W, and 1.6 Ω for high-nic salts at 10-14 W—no Zigzag Coil here, but the parallel vertical wire maximises flavour. A spring-loaded twist top cap reveals two large kidney ports for quick, mess-free refills.
Usage & Tips
- Priming:Drip 3–4 drops of e-liquid into the coil, install, then fill the tank and wait 5 minutes to saturate the wick.
- Airflow: Start with the smallest hole for cigarette-like draw; open gradually to taste.
- Leaks: If juice escapes, check the coil is seated firmly and the top seal is clean; over-tightening can warp O-rings.
- Coil Life: Dark Zero Nicotine or sweet e-liquids shorten lifespan; swap every 7–14 days or when flavour drops.
- Safety: Use only Innokin Zenith coils; mismatched Zeus Tank coils will not fit and may short.
History & Context
Launched in 2018, the Zenith Tank emerged from a community-driven project to create an intuitive MTL tank that bridged the gap between beginner pens and advanced rebuildables. Its success spurred the Zlide and Zenith II iterations, cementing Innokin’s reputation in the Australian market for reliable, regulation-friendly hardware.
