Sitting between matte and high-polish, the satin texture diffuses light to reduce fingerprints and minor scratches while still offering a premium, tactile feel. It is used primarily for aesthetics and practicality, helping everyday vapers maintain a cleaner-looking device without the glare of a mirror finish.

Technical Details

The finish is achieved either by bead-blasting with fine glass or ceramic media (typically 120–220 grit) or by electro-chemical brushing that etches the surface to a uniform 0.4–0.8 µm Ra roughness. Reputable manufacturers test to ASTM D3363 pencil-hardness standards, guaranteeing the coating resists 2H pencil scratching. Variants include:
