Definition

Titanium Construction refers to the use of commercially-pure or alloyed titanium (most commonly Grade 1 or Grade 2) for the structural and heating elements of vape atomisers, drip-tips, and associated hardware. In tanks, Titanium Construction delivers an exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio, total resistance to rust or corrosion from acidic e-liquids, and a neutral flavour profile that preserves delicate notes in Australian-made juices. When used as Titanium Wire in rebuildable coils, the metal’s predictable Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) allows compatible mods to run accurate Temperature Control (TC) mode, preventing dry hits and extending cotton life.

Technical Details

Usage & Tips

  • Pulse-discipline: avoid glowing Ti wire brighter than dull red (≈ 600 °C) to prevent brittle titanium-oxide formation that can flake off into vapour.
  • Before first use, wipe threads with isopropyl alcohol to remove machining oils—this stops “titanium taste” complaints common on fresh tanks.
  • If you experience inconsistent resistance readings, check that 510 pin and post screws are titanium-on-titanium; dissimilar metals can set up a galvanic cell and throw off TC accuracy.
  • Never dry-burn Ti mesh strips for cleaning; instead, light brushing under warm water dissolves residue without risking oxide inhalation.
