Aromamizer – What is it in Vaping?
Definition
The Aromamizer is a high-performance rebuildable atomizer (RDA/RTA hybrid) engineered to maximise flavour intensity while producing dense vapour. Created by Steam Crave, it integrates a spacious post-less Deck“>build deck with an elevated juice reservoir, allowing users to install custom coils and wick directly onto the deck for pure, unmuted taste. By positioning coils close to the Airflow Control)”>AFC (airflow control) ports and feeding e-liquid from below, the Aromamizer eliminates the need for a traditional chimney, reducing flavour loss. The result is an Vape (ADV)”>All Day Vape (ADV) experience prized by Australian flavour-chasers who demand rich notes from dessert, fruit or tobacco e-liquids without compromising cloud production.
Technical Details
How it Works
Inside the Aromamizer, Airflow Control enters through dual or triple cyclops slots at the base, travels up past the coil, then exits through a wide-bore DripTip“>drip tip. The deck is suspended above a 2–8 mL Pyrex tank (size varies by model), and wicks dangle into the juice like an RTA while the coil sits exposed like an RDA. This “post-less” deck accepts single or dual coils mounted horizontally; 2.5–3.5 mm inner diameters are typical, with resistance ranges from 0.1–0.8 Ω. Most versions feature a 25 mm diameter, 510 connection, and a gold-plated positive pin for low voltage drop. Variants include the Supreme V3 (mesh compatible) and the Plus V2 with bubble glass for 8 mL capacity.
Usage & Tips
- Wicking: Trim cotton so tails just reach the juice channels—too long causes dry hits; too short leads to leaking.
- Coil Placement: Align coil centres with the side airflow holes for optimal flavour and to prevent spit-back.
- Power Range: Start at 40 W for dual 26-gauge fused Claptons and adjust; mesh strips perform best at 50–70 W.
- Common Issues:Flooding usually means over-dripping or loose cotton; tighten AFC slightly and re-wick.
- Safety: Always check resistance on an Akkuträger (batterymod) before firing; ensure batteries can handle the amp draw.
History & Context
Steam Crave released the original Aromamizer RDA in 2015, bridging the gap between dripping and tank convenience. Subsequent RTA and RDTA iterations refined the deck and capacity, making the series a staple in the Australian rebuildable scene and influencing many modern flavour-focused atomizers.
